Define Private Label Rights

private label rights (PLR). A form of permission extended from the seller of a product, typically an info product, to the buyer of that product.

Private label rights allow the buyer to do whatever he or she wishes with the info product purchased. That includes:

• Adding his or her own name as the author.

• Retitling the product.

• Editing or completely rewriting the product, which is something you should always do since many PLR products are poorly written or filled with typos.

• Changing and adding links, especially affiliate links to the product.

Usually, when you buy a PLR product you will receive a brief text file specifying what you can and cannot do with the product.
